چکیده

We report on the first observation of diffuse cosmic neutrino flux with Baikal-GVD telescope. Using cascadelike events collected by in 2018–2021, a significant excess over expected atmospheric background is observed. This consistent high-energy observed IceCube. The null assumption rejected significance 3.05σ. Assuming single power law model astrophysical identical contribution from each flavor, following best-fit parameter values are found: spectral index γastro=2.58−0.33+0.27 and normalization ϕastro=3.04−1.21+1.52 per one flavor at 100 TeV.Received 25 November 2022Accepted 10 January 2023DOI:https://doi.org/10.1103/PhysRevD.107.042005© 2023 American Physical SocietyPhysics Subject Headings (PhySH)Research AreasNuclear astrophysicsNuclear Physics

The Baikal Neutrino Telescope: Status and Plans

The high energy neutrino telescope NT200+ is currently in operation in Lake Baikal. We review the status of the Baikal Neutrino Telescope, and describe recent progress on key components of the next generation kilometer-cube (km3) Lake Baikal detector, like investigation of new large area phototubes, integrated into the telescope.

The diffuse supernova neutrino flux

I review the status and perspectives of the research on the diffuse flux of (core collapse) supernova neutrinos (DSNνF). In absence of a positive signal, several upper bounds exist in different detection channels. Of these, the strongest is the limit from SuperKamiokande (SK) of 1.2 electron antineutrinos cms at 90% confidence level above 19.3 MeV of neutrino energy. The predictions of the DSNν...

In situ measurements of optical parameters in Lake Baikal with the help of a Neutrino telescope.

We present results of an experiment performed in Lake Baikal at a depth of approximately 1 km. The photomultipliers of an underwater neutrino telescope under construction at this site were illuminated by a distant laser. The experiment not only provided a useful cross-check of the time calibration of the detector but also allowed us to determine inherent optical parameters of the water in a way...

neutrino telescope

The ANTARES collaboration is building a deep underwater neutrino Cerenkov telescope at 2400 m which will be located off the Mediterranean sea coast near Toulon, France. The main scientific aims of the experiment are the detection of high energy upgoing muons coming from astrophysical neutrinos, indirect dark matter searches, the study of atmospheric neutrino oscillations. The detector will be c...
